Membership Information
Consider joining us!

Temple Beth Shalom welcomes all who seek to affiliate with a Conservative Jewish synagogue. We are proud of our tradition of welcoming everyone. We aspire to make Temple membership available to all who wish to join. A variety of membership options and payment plans are available, and special arrangements can be made for individuals or families who may need financial assistance.

Jews join a synagogue because it is the foundation stone for Jewish life in America. The synagogue is the place we turn to for our most meaningful moments in life, whether they are happy or sad. It is where we take our place in the community to which we belong. Maintaining this vital institution is everyone’s sacred duty and we work hard to ensure that money is never a barrier to affiliation. We will work with you to help you find your own contribution comfort level.

In addition to knowing you're part of a congregation with history, values, and tradition, your membership includes:

* Rabbi Gartenberg available for your personal and life-cycle needs
* High Holy Day and Shabbat services
* Invitations to all Temple events and holiday celebrations
* A regular offering of adult classes, havurahs, and cultural programs
* Educational and youth activites for children, including the Temple Torah School
* Subscription to "The Scribe", the monthly newsletter of Temple Beth Shalom

We invite you to join us for worship services on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings. You will also find excellent opportunities to meet our Clergy and congregants at Shabbat dinners and the Oneg Shabbat which follows services. Check us out. Attend a class. Come to our Prospective Member events. Temple Beth Shalom's web site is constantly updated to reflect the new and exciting programs, activities and worship opportunities. It’s your link to all that is happening at TBS. Once you have had a chance to look over the information provided, please give the Temple office a call. They will be delighted to get you in touch with our membership committee and to go over the membership rate possibilities for you and to answer any questions you might have. You can also sign up for our weekly e-newsletter.

We also invite you to join Rabbi Gartenberg for a tour of our synagogue. To schedule a tour, contact the Rabbi via email or call the Temple Office at 562-426-6413.
